Our Convents
St. Peter’s Convent, Faridabad
It was started in 1993 and is under the diocese of Delhi-Faridabad. Main apostolate is Education. The Management of this convent is running a Secondary school here. Sr. Anupa Maria is the present Superior. Late Superior General, Dr. Benecasia’s vision materialized in starting a Convent even before the inception of the diocese of Faridabad. The Silver Jubilee of the Convent was celebrated in November, 2017. The sisters are engaged in apostolic activities like teaching in the school, faith formation and catechesis, social service, pastoral activities etc. Sr. Rufina, Sr. Rosina, Sr. Philamin,Sr. Jancy Maria, Sr. Rose Mary,Sr. Stella Maria, Sr. William are the former superiors and administrators. Faridabad is the first Mission Centre owned by Amala Province, Kanjirappally in North India.
Jayamatha Convent, Jaipur
In 1988, CMC started a Convent at Malviya Nagar in Jaipur on the request of Rt. Rev. Ignatius Menezes, Bishop of Ajmer Diocese. Four sisters are teaching at St. Anselm Pink City School, Jaipur.. They also do pastoral work, catechesis, and counseling, prepare children for sacraments like Holy Communion, Confirmation, Matrimony. They have established a good relationship with the parishners. Sisters are fully engaged in School as well as Parish activities which give a meaning to their life. Sr. Dhanya is the local Superior. Sr.Arsenia, Sr. Sion, Sr.Saina, Sr. Philamin, Sr. Vimal Rose, and Sr. Deepthi are the former superiors.
Chavara Sadan, Alwar
Alwar is the first Mission station taken up by Amala Province, in 1988.Starting with four sisters, the number has increased in later years. Sisters are serving in St. Anselm Senior Secondary School as teachers as well as administrators.Sr. Petite Teresa, the former Provincial took initiative to start a convent in Alwar. The sisters came here in response to the invitation extended by Bishop Ignatius Menezes of Ajmer diocese. Sisters are engaged in Pastoral activities, catechesis, Choir, counseling and house visiting.Sr. Irene Therese is the Superior.Sr. Gerard, Sr. Sion, Sr, Salvin, Sr. Jancy Maria, Sr. Arsenia, Sr. Jaina are the former superiors.
Avila Bhavan, Tonk
This is the only Convent that falls under Ajmer Diocese after the bifurcation of Ajmer diocese. The Sisters are serving in St. Anselm School run by IMS Fathers as teachers and assist the management in administration. The Convent was started in 2009Sisters are also participating in Social work, conducting remedial classes, pastoral work etc. The superior is Sr. Regin Rose. The former superiors are Sr. Stella Maria, Sr. Tessy Rose, Sr. Blessy. Sr. Archana, Sr.Dhanya, Sr. Blessy, Sr Christine served as Principals. Sr. Tessy Kurian is the present Principal.
Mount Carmel Convent, Bagrana
The Convent was started in 2009in a rented building. With the effort of Sr. Arsenia, a plot was purchased. It is the first house owned by CMC Sisters in Rajasthan. The main apostolate is education. The sisters are running a secondary school with CBSE Syllabus. Sisters are also engaged in Social work at Kachi Basthi where many poor students of slum are taught the 3 R’s, cleanliness, respect for others especially elders. The youth are also trained in stitching and tailoring so that they can earn some money for their livelihood. Sr.Anila,Sr.Cicy Carmel, Sr. Anitha and Sr. William are the former Superiors. Sr.Tessy Rose is the current Superior.
St. Joseph’s Convent, Jelana
St. Joseph’s convent was inaugurated and blessed on 29th July 2021, in a rented house by Rt. Rev. Devprasad Ganava, the Bishop of the Diocese of Udaipur. The occasion was filled with joy and gratitude as the Regional Superior Sr. Elizabeth William, councillors, and sisters from different convents gathered together to witness this humble beginning.
The pioneer members were Sr. Anita (Superior), Sr. Subha Maria, and Sr. Anna Agnes.. The new convent was solemnly blessed on 30th November 2025 by Rt. Rev. Devprasad Ganava, in the gracious presence of Sr. Elizabeth Saly, Provincial Superior, and Sr. Anni Reena, Regional Superior. Jelana Parish, which was bifurcated from Bichiwara Parish, covers a vast rural area consisting of 22 villages with around 200 families. The people here are simple, faith-filled, and deeply rooted in their traditions. The sisters actively collaborate with the Parish Priest in Faith Formation and Pastoral Services, nurturing the spiritual life of the parish through catechism, prayer services, and regular pastoral visits.
Beyond spiritual ministry, the sisters are deeply committed to the upliftment of women and children. They organize various social and skill-based activities such as rosary making, soap making, and tailoring, helping women become self-reliant and confident. Self-help groups are also actively functioning, promoting unity, mutual support, and economic empowerment within the community.
Convent, Paloorkavu
In Idukki Distric Peerumade Taluk at St. George parish, on July 16,1978 this convent was formed. During this tenure Fr. Thomas Aayila was the Vicar, Sr. Perpetua. The regional Superior of Amala region and Sr. Celestina the 1st house Supdrior. Vattothukunnel Kunjettan’s house was the first convent. On 28 November 1882 the venture ceremony of the new convent done. Sr. Philo Jose was the Superior of the new convent. On 12/ July 2003,this house celebrated its silver Jubilee. In 2017 this convent was designated as the recruting house of Amal Jyothi Region, Jaipur.
Convent, ST.Peter’s 88 (ROSE VILLA)
St.Peter’s 88 (Rose villa) erected as a residence of Amal Jyothi Region,Jaipur on July 3rd 2018,with three members Sr.Nancy Elizabeth (incharge),Sr.Jaicy Carmel and Sr.Elizabeth Ritty. St.Euphrsia is the Patron Saint of this community. Sr.Anciline(Sister Superior),Sr.NancyElizabeth Sr.Jaicy Carmel and Sr.Elizabeth Ritty are the members of the first community. Education is the main apostolate and all the sisters are rendering their services in St.Peter’s Convent School, affiliated to CBSE. Sisters are actively participating in the parish activities such as Sunday Catechism, Unit prayers, House visiting etc.Our sisters are trying to the upliftment of the students, youth and the families through their counseling sessions in school as well as Divine retreat Ashram, Faridabad.
